History & Profile

The Applied Electronics Laboratory (APEL) is one of the main laboratories in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Patras. It was founded in 1974 and it is responsible for courses in the area of Electronics, Microelectronics, Microprocessors and Microcomputers, Embedded Systems, Telecommunication Electronics and Real Time Networks. Over 200 Master Theses and over 40 Ph.D. Dissertations have been completed in the past twenty years. Many more are, currently, in the stage of execution or completion.
